Champ Bailey is widely considered one of the best cover cornerbacks in the NFL. Most quarterbacks try to stay away from throwing near him because of his ability to intercept the ball. He is an eight time Pro Bowl selection from (2000-2007). While he was restricted to nine games during an injury-prone 2008 campaign, Bailey did take his career interceptions total to 43.
Team Info
Since their formation in 1960, the Broncos have played in six Super Bowls. Only the Dallas Cowboys (8) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7) have played in more. Denver's first appearance came in 1978 when they lost to the Cowboys. Under the guidance of star quarterback John Elway, Denver reached Super Bowls in 1987, 1988 and 1990, losing on each occasion to post a 0-4 mark in the big game. The Broncos finally tasted success in Elway's final two years in the league, winning back-to-back Super Bowls against the Green Bay Packers in 1998 and the Atlanta Falcons in 1999. The Broncos missed out on the playoffs with a 7-9 record in 2007 and were narrowly pipped to the AFC West Division crown in 2008 with an 8-8 mark. Denver made big headlines this past off-season when they traded star quarterback Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a raft of draft picks and the Bears number one passer, Kyle Orton.
