Team Info
The Bills were formed in 1960 and played in the American Football League before joining the NFL in 1970. The Bills have the joint-worst record of all NFL teams in the Super Bowl, a record shared with Minnesota of appearing in the big game four times -all in the 1990s - and losing on each occasion. Buffalo last made a play-off appearance in 1999 and have been in rebuilding mode for the past few seasons. Head coach Dick Jauron joined the team in 2006, leading them to 7-9 records in his first two seasons in Buffalo. The Bills made a fast start in 2008 before falling to another 7-9 mark. The season saw the Bills play their first regular season game in Canada as they lost to the Miami Dolphins in Toronto. Buffalo has several promising young players, including quarterback Trent Edwards. After adding some veteran offensive firepower in the form of wide receiver Terrell Owens, the club hopes to be a playoff contender in 2009.
