Fantasy Two Minute Warning - Week 13

Will Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger play against the Ravens? Can Philadelphia’s Michael Vick ever be the same after his concussion? Is Green Bay’s Cedric Benson really done for the year? All this and so much more in your weekly slice of the latest injury and depth chart from around the NFL:

  • Oakland RBs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson have both returned to practice this week in a limited fashion. McFadden should see some game action, but will still share the load with Marcel Reece. It’s thought possible the two could split the starting job from here on out.
  • St. Louis WR Danny Amendola missed practice on Thursday with a heel injury and will be a game-time decision on Sunday. His matchup with San Francisco is unappealing if he does suit up.
  • New England TE Aaron Hernandez was limited in Thursday’s practice with an ongoing ankle issue, but his full participation in last week’s win over the Jets (after a similar week of practice) has team observers predicting he’ll be good for Sunday.
  • Chicago RB Matt Forte has made a rapid recovery from Week 12’s ankle injury and will play against Seattle’s sticky run defense barring an injury. He could nonetheless be in for an even timeshare with number two back Michael Bush.
  • Philadelphia QB Michael Vick appears to have suffered a setback in his recovery from concussion and will cede at least one more start to rookie Nick Foles. It has been speculated Vick could miss the remainder of the season.
  • Washington WR Pierre Garcon is practicing fully and will be a full go for Week 13’s clash with the Giants. He is a sneaky play at home.
  • Dallas WR Miles Austin is working his way back from hamstring and hip issues and was limited on Thursday. Local media suggest he’ll play in Week 13 but might yet be downgraded to a game-time decision.
  • Dallas RB DeMarco Murray put in a limited practice on Thursday and Cowboys teammates are optimistic they’ll see him suit up against Philadelphia. Murray also believes he will play, but Cowboys coaches want to see him progress still further on Friday before declaring him ready.
  • Arizona WR Andre Roberts missed practice Thursday with an ankle issue. His status for this weekend is unknown - check back after Friday’s practice.
  • Arizona RB Chris ‘Beanie’ Wells was limited in Thursday’s practice but will play against the Jets in New York. It could be a long day for wells unless Arizona’s quarterback situation improves rapidly.
  • Minnesota WR Percy Harvin did not take part in Thursday’s practice and looks set to miss another game this weekend. He could yet be a game-time decision but is a worse than 50-50 bet to play barring a surprise appearance at practice Friday.
  • Minnesota TE Kyle Rudolph is recovered from shoulder and concussion issues and is all set for Sunday’s game against Green Bay.
  • Carolina RB Jonathan Stewart is dealing with injuries to both ankles and has been termed day-to-day. After missing practice Thursday his status for Sunday is unknown at present - and hinges on whether he can get some reps on Friday.
  • Cincinnati WR Mohamed Sanu was limited on Thursday with a foot issue sustained in practice. His status for Week 13 is, at present, up in the air.
  • Jacksonville WR Justin Blackmon missed Thursday’s practice with hamstring issues, as did Ceil Shorts III. Blackmon’s involvement in Friday’s practice will be key to determining his status for Week 13, while Shorts expressed confidence he’ll be good to go in today’s Team Talk interview.
  • Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger’s chances of suiting up for this weekend’s key divisional clash with the Ravens are on the slide. He may yet be termed a game-time decision but local reporters think his shoulder/rib issues will keep him sidelined.
  • Philadelphia RB LeSean McCoy is still dealing with the after effects of a concussion and is unlikely to play in Week 13. Explosive rookie Bryce Brown appears set for another start against the Cowboys.
  • Green Bay RB Cedric Benson is out for the rest of the season following Lisfranc surgery. Uninspiring younger backs Alex Green and James Starks will continue to carry the load.
  • Detroit RB Mikel Leshoure returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with an ankle issue. He’s a safe bet for the lion’s share of Detroit’s running plays assuming he can put in a full session on Friday.
  • Philadelphia WR DeSean Jackson will miss the rest of the year with a rib injury. He’ll be replaced in the starting lineup by Riley Cooper.
  • Jacksonville RB Jalen Parmele has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season. With Maurice Jones-Drew still not practicing, Rashad Jennings will once again see plenty of carries.
  • Green Bay WR Greg Jennings is expected to suit up against the Vikings on Sunday, but will be on a limited snap count. It’s bad news for James Jones’ fantasy output, but Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are still expected to be heavily targeted by QB Aaron Rodgers.
