To enable us to interact more closely with the fans, listen to your opinions and concerns and to increase the transparency of how we operate, we announced in April that we are launching an NFL Fan Committee. We can now give you more details on how to apply to join the Committee.
The Committee will comprise 20 fans, who will join us for quarterly meetings. The first meeting will be in-person at our London office on either July 12 or 13 (to be confirmed). We will cover any expenses incurred for Committee members. Future meetings will then be in-person or via telephone conference call.
Some members have already been selected but you can still apply to be part of the Fan Committee by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (subject title: NFL Fan Committee). We will look for a mix of fans - some who have been following the sport for a long time and are among the most committed users on our forum; others who are no less committed but are perhaps not always as vocal. So when emailing us tell us what subject you would most want to discuss at the first meeting.
Your Committee membership will run until the end of the 2012 season* and you will be notified by email next week (beginning Monday June 25) if you have been selected to join the Committee.
If you are unable to attend the first meeting because you are on holiday or simply unable to come to London you can still apply and if chosen we will endeavour to have you participate in the meeting via telephone. * The NFL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of Committee members and to withdraw membership if it is felt a Committee has behaved inappropriately.
