Los Angeles Rams players to watch at Twickenham in 2016

Posted Nov 25, 2015

The Los Angeles Rams will return to London in 2016 as a much-improved team when compared to the side that lost to New England in the 2012 International Series game.

Here are five to watch on a Los Angeles Rams team on the rise.

Todd Gurley – Running Back

The rookie running back has taken the NFL by storm this season and is already drawing comparisons to the great Adrian Peterson.  Gurley’s first four starts in the NFL saw him account for 566 rushing yards – a new league record. Gurley has 775 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns this season.

Tavon Austin – Wide Receiver

A key member of the Rams attack, Tavon Austin is an electrifying player with the ball in his hands and is used in a variety of ways. Austin has scored on receiving, rushing and kick return touchdowns this season and has combined for 737 total yards and 7 touchdowns on the season.

Robert Quinn – Defensive End

The Rams boast one of the most fearsome defensive fronts in the NFL and Robert Quinn is a key member of that unit and a Pro Bowler recognised as one of the best in the league. Quinn is a constant menace to opposing quarterbacks and has 5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles on the year.

Aaron Donald – Defensive Tackle

There are times when this 2014 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year looks simply unblockable. He may only be 24 years of age, but Donald often looks like a man among boys when playing. He has 7 sacks on the season and should be an NFL star for years to come.

James Laurinaitis – Linebacker

A leader for the Rams on and off the field, James Laurinaitis has a reputation around the NFL for being one of the finest inside linebackers in the league. He is a tackling machine who has a team-leading 74 stops on the season but Laurinaitis is a complete player who can also defend the pass.
