In order to finance this incredible trip, Adam sold his flat in Canary Wharf, London, and is leaving behind his long-suffering girlfriend, Steph, who will not be seeing Adam for dust while he looks to set his record.

Adam's record attempt kicks off tonight in New York, where he will attend the Super Bowl champion Giants' season opener at Giants Stadium against the Washington Redskins.

"I am looking forward to getting started with this," said Adam. "I have been planning the trip for a long time, and it is going to be fun just getting over to America and knowing that all the planning has led to this."

As well as catching 34 games in America, Adam will be returning to London to catch one game on UK soil, when the New Orleans Saints host the San Diego Chargers at Wembley Stadium on Sunday October 26th.

Through the year Adam will be catching a game at each of the 32 NFL stadia, adding Wembley and Toronto – where the Buffalo Bills host the Miami Dolphins on December 7th – and taking in a second game at Soldier Field, where he will watch his beloved Chicago Bears.
